Visit Nugget Point Lighthouse and the beautiful golden sandy beaches of Cannibal Bay and Surat Bay to see see the Hooker sea lions, NZ fur seals, and elephant seals, and Yellow-Eyed Penguins (Hoiho) in their natural habitat.
Take a bushwalk through our native forest and discover Purukanui Falls, then on to Purukanui Bay in its untouched serenity.
Do not forget to stop at the Florence Hill lookout and step out of your car with your camera in hand!
Explore the 180 million yr old petrified forest at Curio Bay where the Hector dolphins play in the bay.
There are so many choices of walking tracks and byways for you.
